Immobilized CaLB
ChiralVision produces various immobilized formulations of CaLB that are equal to or outperform the classic Novozyme 435 (NZ435) which is a Lewatit absorbed formulation. We offer covalently bound CaLB based on liquid Novozymes CaLB and a special carrier type that can be used in aqueous or biphasic media without enzyme leaching.

Both formulations are suitable for enzymatic reactions under water free conditions. The carrier is designed for performing enzymatic transesterifications, acylations and direct esterifications in organic media.

Generic CaLB
Novozymes has been the only available producer of Candida antarctica Lipase B (CaLB) for a long time. Recently several new manufacturers have introduced generic versions produced recombinantly in yeast and formulated as dry powder available in bulk quantities. ChiralVision has made several generic CaLB formulations available. This comprises generic CaLB as lyophilized powder (CaLBY) and as 2 immobilized forms (absorbed and covalently bound (resp. IMMCaLBY-T1-350 and IMMCaLBY-T2-350)). These formulations allow for the optimal application and recycling of the enzyme in aqueous, biphasic and organic reaction systems, either batch or continuous.
